Poster Cut Neue is a purposefully rough,
hand-drawn display family. Loosely inspired by
the historic grotesque sans, the all-cap
design offers an informal, almost hand-cut
look and feel you might find in posters and
playbills from the era. However, the casual
and subtle imperfections serve the purpose of
setting a mood without compromising
legibility. The uppercase and lowercase—plus
underlined vowel alternates—are different
enough to give the text a hand-lettered sense
of movement and energy. Poster Cut Neue,
regular and italic, is ideal for brand,
editorial, publication, poster, and packaging
design applications when you want the work to
feel organically natural or tenaciously
